Buyaki?

Is that bukakke for Japanese people?

I probably will after discovering the medium rare fact!

Not that it's supposed to be that dangerous for adults. More for kids and the pregnant or the frail, I think. But all the same, I could do without getting sick/the shits from a burger.

Each to their own, but I just don't like it.

Doesn't deliver on taste or (especially) value for money as far as I'm concerned.

I thought this was going to be a buyaki thread

Re: Five Guys...
I see...makes sense.

I always ask for it medium if they do it. I would expect it to be more on the done side than the rare though.

Jury's out on my best burger that I have had in a restaurant. I can't ever really remember being blown away. I like making my own which are pretty damn good.

Watched Richard E Grant in some hotel programme the other day and he ate a 5 grand burger. Ridiculous. Although that came with a vintage bottle of red which was worth that at least apparantly.

Byron is so overrated

Come on then?

I'm a big fan of the Byron sauce and their skin on chips are excellent.

In and out is the best fast food burger I've ever had. That and NYC shake shack.

They need to get an in-n-out chain over here.

They need a licence to sell them medium rare.

Different to steak because all the bacteria is just on the outside of a steak and its all killed by frying/grilling. As a burger is minced, the bacteria is all through it, and the middle never gets hot enough to kill it all off.

Re: Five Guys...
Byron is so overrated. Been there about 3 times, seen as so many people seem to rave about it and I figured maybe I just had a bad one first time. Bang average burger, no way worth the money. I have come away disappointed every single time.

Pervy

If its made from mince, I'd be careful about eating rare burgers.

Re: Five Guys...

Deans Diner's are awful. I got a take away from there and it was so horrendous i took photos of it and wrote a letter. I got a free meal out of it, which was only slightly better and probably because we ate in and they were being over friendly. But as burgers go, crap.

I had a burger the other day in a decent cafe in Brighton and asked if i could have it cooked medium, the waitress said that restaurants have to have a licence to sell burgers anything other than well done. Which seemed odd. Surely it's no different to serving a medium rare steak.

No way was Mocha better. Although I used it a lot as it was closer to the palais.

Mocha all on was a beauty.

Re: Five Guys...
Decent chips, and massive (ie too big really) portions, but the burgers aren't anything special. For about £12 once you've added up burger, chips, and drink, seems like you're paying a lot for the novelty to me. Even GBK felt like better value for money for what you get, and that's not exactly exciting either.

Jakes is open, no more square burgers tho.

Mocca was better - and cheaper.
